Set Up

After you've signed up for Google Apps, the Setup Wizard will start automatically. You can also start the wizard at any time: Log in to your control panel at www.google.com/a/<your_domain> and click the Setup tab.

The Setup Wizard will guide you through the entire setup process. Using the wizard, most customers can set up Google Apps in under an hour.
Here are the key steps the Setup Wizard will help you complete:

Verify your domain: To protect your domain, we ask that you verify that you're the rightful owner. You have several options, such as adding a record in your domain settings or a tag to your home page. To do this, you'll need to access your account with your domain or website host (such as GoDaddy or Network Solutions). Don't worry, this step won't affect your domain or website.

Add users: Create accounts for your users individually or in bulk. Email won't be redirected to these accounts until you activate the email service.

Activate email: You'll need to change your MX (mail exchange) record at your domain host so all incoming email is delivered to your Google Apps account. There won't be any downtime to your email delivery.

Set up mobile devices: Sync your Google Apps data with your Android, Blackberry, iPhone, or Windows Mobile device. Learn more

Migrate data: Optionally, migrate your email, calendar, and contacts from your email server, webmail provider, or computer. The Setup Wizard will help you choose the most appropriate migration option.

Sync email with other clients: If you'd rather access your email in Microsoft Outlook instead of Gmail, you can install our plug-in for Outlook. You also sync email with most other desktop email programs (such as Apple Mail) using IMAP.
